About Me
Hi, I’m Dr. Rosette Elghossain. I’ve always been fascinated by people: their stories, struggles, and triumphs. Growing up between the U.S. and Lebanon, I learned firsthand how culture, family, and life experiences shape who we are. Today, as a psychologist and consultant, I help people understand themselves and learn the skills they need to live with more harmony and confidence.
My Journey
I attended the American University of Beirut, where I had some of the best years of my life and graduated with High Distinction. I then moved to the U.S. to earn my Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Florida Tech, graduating as the Outstanding Clinical Student in my cohort. I completed a predoctoral internship at Louisiana State University and the state hospital forensic unit, before moving to New Orleans for a postdoctoral fellowship at Tulane University. There, I joined the counseling center as a staff psychologist and developed its first marketing and outreach program, which sparked my passion for public speaking, group education, and consulting.
Life & Passions
I met my husband (a deeply patient, honest, and adventurous man) in New Orleans, and we eventually settled in Oklahoma, his home state. We travel as much as possible, often visiting Beirut to see family and New Orleans to see friends, and we love exploring new corners of the world.
I speak English and Arabic fluently, and enough French to pass as a local if no one looks too closely. When I’m not working with clients or speaking, you’ll find me on a walk with a podcast or in my kitchen. I adore cooking and baking, and nothing makes me happier than the joy on someone’s face when I give them a plate. (Fun fact: I love the smell of coffee, but can’t stand the taste—so if you see me with a mug, it’s definitely Earl Grey or an herbal tea!)
Why I Do This Work
All of my experiences—personal, cultural, and professional—shape how I work with clients. I help people understand themselves, work through shame and perfectionism, and live with more harmony and confidence. Seeing someone move from struggle to self-understanding reminds me that we all have the potential to grow, heal, and contribute meaningfully to our communities.
